Country Decorating with a Wooden Magazine Rack

Magazine Rack

What more can I say. The magazine rack is in a lot of cases one of the first wood working products manufactured at school by many. Even I can remember making one many years back, however with a lot harder and slower wood working equipment then.

Country Furniture

From what started out to be a part time wood working hobby, manufacturing Country Furniture, it soon became obvious that there were a lot of Country decorating lovers out there that were seriously interested this type of home furniture. Many of you may be thinking that building Pine Furniture is hard! Well trust me, its not all that difficult. With
all the wood working equipment now in the market place you will find that the cost of setting your home work shop up is quite affordable. For me, as my business grew, I just kept adding equipment, however for the home wood worker only the basic equipment is needed to enable items such as wooden trays, shadow boxes, wooden boxes, magazine rack, side table, coffee tray etc to be made.

In my opinion the final finishing of your piece of Country Furniture is often what sets the final look. Pine furniture in its raw state is nothing to dream about, however when the stain is added and then two or three coats of clear, the end results will look absolutely brilliant. Whilst speaking of a clear finish, I use a satin estapol clear. My reasoning for using satin rather than gloss is the simple fact that it tends to cover any in perfections in my Countrywares and Homewares.
